About a month ago….I KNOW! I have been major slacking!………a client and friend of mine Barbara Schriber (and hopefully still a client and friend after my tardiness on getting these photos done!) asked me to take some pictures of a couple of products from her business. I was honored and so excited to do this product shoot! Barb had told me she sold handmade cards, wrapping paper, etc. so I was very curious to see her products. We met downtown at Fairytales of course…my home away from home…..for the hand-off of product. Upon receiving the box, I had absolutely no idea what was inside……but when I took the lid off of that box I literally gasped! The products inside were just darling…..and I immediately fell in LOVE with them. Here’s why. Not only are they my friend’s awesome work…..but I LOVE vintage. And I can not for the life of me create anything vintage….I think that is why I am so drawn to it. AND I also love glitter! All of her products use real German glass glitter and just sparkle like crazy! I am absolutely smitten by her darling and whimsical products!

Small Boxes ~ The small boxes she offers are my absolute favorite……these little boxes are BEAUTIFUL! They are just so dainty and feminine….and a perfect little holder for keepsakes and treasures!

Chocolate Bars ~ OK….HELLO CHOCOLATE! These beauties are 3.5 oz of dark chocolate imported from Belgium and are Rainforest Alliance Certified. They come packaged in various gorgeous papers with your choice of any phrase and of course also have a good dose of the German glass glitter. They are so pretty I would have a hard time eating them! Oh OK….who am I kidding? I would gobble that dark chocolate right up….hopefully I can get this product back to Barb WITH the chocolate bars still inside! Did I mention they are DARK chocolate? Yes I think I did…..(wiping drool from my face)….MUST…PUT….DARK CHOCOLATE BARS….BACK….IN…THE….BOX! Phew! That was close!

Gift Tags ~ And the Gift Tags with a little German glass glittah BLING! BLING!……need I say more? I think it speaks for itself! STUNNING!

Home Sweet Home ~ North Idaho Photographer

Been a little BORING around here lately? Yep, I know it has been…..SORRY!!!!…..but we took a little vaca and just got home early this morning…..it was so crazy busy before we left that I didn’t even have a chance to post about it on the blog….just on facebook! Not a fan? Want the latest updates? Click here to become a fan!!! My husband and I had a wonderful week in Cancun, Mexico thanks to his AWESOME plumbing supplier Consolidated Supply Co in Sandpoint! I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun we had….and how so very badly a get-away was needed in this house!!! Hopefully some more pictures to come…..

But for today, I just wanted to post a couple since it’s been over a week! The beautiful view from our hotel beach front. Don’t be fooled by the dark clouds…..they came and went so quickly every day it was crazy…..and the 75-80 degree temps all week were a dream…..it’s good to be home however, I can say for sure that I am NOT loving the snow this morning at our house after leaving such beautiful weather!!!

The views flying home……the sky is just as beautiful as the water. So glad to be home and refreshed! Ryan and I both have a new energy about us and are looking forward to this spring! We have so many things to be thankful for…..life is good. I am so relieved to be home safe….so happy to see my babies…….and so excited for March! Some really fun stuff coming up this spring for Staci Bailey Photography! I can’t wait!

Happy Valentine’s Day!!! ~ North Idaho Childrens Photographer

Happy Valentine’s Day!!! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Sometimes I feel like I hardly ever get any pictures of Owen anymore…..a lot of the pictures I take of sissy are when he is in school so he misses out! Plus, now that he is older, he’s way too cool to take pictures! Pssshh! But, I miss seeing his beautiful face in my photos so I asked him to do a little mini session the other day….and he agreed! I think only because there was a sucker involved! AND I was proud of him……he cooperated for about 60% of it!!!! Usually it is like pulling teeth to get a decent face out of him…normally taking pictures with him is all about rolling eyes, sticking out his tongue, and/or obscene gestures like farting…..which is oh so funny to a 4 year old boy. Just the word “Fart” is enough to have both him and his sister gut rolling to tears……and come to think of it, their daddy too!…..lost me on that one! Must be that Gene Pool thing acting up again?

Anywho….I couldn’t have been happier to take his photos. He really is such a handsome little man….always has been…….and my heart pitter patters over all of these. I am so sad to see his darling baby face disappear and his big boy face appear….almost as if overnight. But also so excited to see who he is becoming. Just had to share a few……

This is my favorite one……LOVE YOU angel bug!

Little Angels ~ Sandpoint Childrens Photographer

Two weekends ago (I know! I am so behind!), I had the great pleasure of taking these two little angels photos. This session was extra special for me because I have known this family from the day I was born….heck!…..they ARE family! The GREAT Grandparents of these little darlings and my children’s GREAT grandparents all grew up together and have been friends for years….literally YEARS! I have photos of both the GG’s in their early 20’s (and grade school)….one of their grandma and my kids papa when they were 6 mo old babies!….and photos of their mama and I as children (usually running from uncle Scott hee hee) So yeah….we go WAY BACK! It was great to see everyone…it always is. :-D And I absolutley LOVED capturing your little sweethearts! Here is your sneak peek…I hope you enjoy!

Miss “P”…..you might remember this beauty from last Friday’s post….she is absolutely stunning! How could she not be? Her mama, grandma, and great grandma are all GORGEOUS! I could have taken her picture all day…..and although I loved her pretty red dress…..these just screamed black and white to me…….

And although Miss “P” is absolutely adorable and sweet as pie…..DO NOT!….I repeat DO NOT mess with her binkie! I made the unforgiveable mistake of asking her if she would take out her “icky binkie” for a cute picture and this is the look I got…followed by screaming AND tears……and we were so not friends after that. Don’t worry sweet girl….I still love you! Although I am not sure if the feeling is mutual! Mad as a hornet….and cute as can be!

I am so sorry Miss “P”…I didn’t mean to upset you sweet angel! I hope your forgive me!!!! OK….a little forgiveness…..she let me take a few more pictures……isn’t she just BEAUTIFUL? I think so.

Mr “R”….the new baby brother……..”HEY! What about me? I am the new baby here! Enough with sissy and her binkie! I am the cute one! Take my picture!”

Ok, Ok, Mr “R”….you are right….you ARE cute and I will take your picture! Well…now that you demand attention….please don’t be scared sweet baby! I know I made your sister cry……but for reals…..I am really, really nice! I promise!!!

Just chillin…..this little guy is such a doll! It was a pleasure to meet you Mr “R”…..I can’ wait to see how you grow and change over the years!

Slacker!

OK…OK….I know…..I have been a GIANT SLACKER over here this week! Between the Valentine’s Mini Sessions…..taxes, paperwork, and bills for BPI……making Owen’s Valentine’s Day cards for school……….cleaning house……..laundry……and more LAUNDRY (which by they way, does anyone know how in the heck 2 tiny little things dirty up so much laundry?!?! If so, please fill me in!)…….running errands……….and 100 other things……….I am running behind on my editing!!!! ACK! AND behind on posting to my blog…….nothing exciting for today….I just wanted to post something so I wouldn’t get worst blogger of the week award! So here’s one of the Big “O” from last night. Poor guy fell asleep with his light on, reading his book. He looks so sweet here………and reminds me of one of my favorite quotes……”The only thing worth stealing is a kiss from a sleeping child” ~ Joe Houldsworth….and so I did just that….
