Happy Monday!  It was WILD around here this weekend …..birthday parties, cooking, cleaning, and sessions galore!   I cooked and cooked on Friday….like a mad woman for 8 hours!  Crazy…..NOT doing that again….well…not for a long time anyways….until at least Thursday for the 4th of July weekend!!!  ack!  A busy, but fun birthday party on Saturday…..and TWO!…I repeat TWO sessions on Sunday…that was a lot after having the big birthday party!  But SO FUN!!!  One sweet little baby…and another super fun family!   This week isn’t looking any smoother or more relaxing….more swim lessons this week – which I am excited for….tons of laundry to be done – which I am super excited for…..psh!  yeah right…..just seeing if you were awake!…..a Costco run that is needed very badly……orders to put in…….and sessions to edit!  Is your head spinning yet?  Mine is just thinking about it!  But for now…..a little Monday madness!!!  Yes….these kids are weird……but at least they provide free comedy!!!  Hope your day is great….and I will be back this afternoon for a “real” photo!!!

On Saturday I turned 29……AGAIN!  I can’t believe how old I am getting!    (For those of you that know my true age don’t you dare say a word – I will tell everyone what a liar you are…..I AM 29!!! )  That night, we had a BBQ with some really good friends – a friend that shares my birthday and I WON’T mention how young she is either!  Yummy bacon wrapped shrimp and  flank steak on the barbie……cauliflower and broccoli salad…..I am getting hungry just writing about it!  YUM!   No birthday cake for the old ladies…..but lots of s’mores…….oh yes!  That’s right!  S’MORES!   I pigged down my fair share after dinner around the camp fire!   That was definitely my favorite part of the day!!!    We ended the night with some left over fireworks from a few years ago….seriously, they were 3 or 4 years old!!!  But they still went off and the kids were delighted!   Oh…geez….who am I kidding?  The adults liked the fireworks just as much as the kids!!!  The men (or should I say my husband) especially liked them after putting the left overs in the fire (after I said DON’T DO IT!)……you know where this story is heading…..(rolling eyes… psh!)…I guess the fireworks weren’t finished going off, because after being in the fire a few minutes they went off AGAIN as someone…ME!!!!!….was standing right next to it!  Have you heard the expression “scream like a girl?”  Yeah….   Anyways…..ha ha ha…so funny……just glad the kids weren’t around….but also glad I was able to say “I TOLD YOU SO!!!”      Then on Sunday to celebrate Father’s Day, we all went for a 4 wheeler ride up in the mountains.  Got a little bit of rain….but not too much!   Ended the day with the movie Julie and Julia…a super cute movie!   Such a great weekend and a much needed recharge for me!!!  And just in time too…..this week is going to be crazy!  Swim lessons, birthday parties, and 2 sessions!!!   Ack!
